Lynette Zook Olsen

Lynette Zook Olsen, 47, passed away at her parents home in paradise Utah on September 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. She has endured many years of health issues and now her body is pain free. 

Lynette was born on March 20, 1978 in Logan, Utah, to Lonny and Shauna Nielsen Zook.  She was raised in Paradise, Utah and had many good friends there. She went to Lincoln Elementary, South Cache and graduated from Mt. Crest High School in 1996. She took piano lessons, dance lessons and clogging lessons. 

She met Kolby Olsen from Malad, Idaho and was married July 20,1996. They lived in Logan, Hyrum, West Jordan and Lehi. They had two daughters, Alexis Ann Olsen Canady and Hanna Lynn Olsen. Kolby and Lynette later divorced. 

Lynette met the love of her life Nelsen Hernandez. They resided in Logan and had a beautiful daughter, Sofia Alicia Hernandez. They enjoyed rides up the canyon and long walks. One night on a walk up the canyon Lynette and Nelson got separated and she was lost for several hours. Lynette worked in several restaurants as a teenager, then Herff Jones, ICON, but her favorite job was at Dollar Tree in Providence. She loved her coworkers and especially the customers. She was heartbroken when she found out her health was to bad to return to work. 

She is survived by her parents, Lonny and Shauna Zook, her partner Nelson Hernandez, daughters Alexis Canady (Austin) Hanna Olsen (Hunter), Sofia Hernandez and granddaughter Violet Galley. Two brothers, Shaun Zook (Jen ), Josh Zook. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents O.H. Nielsen, June Nielsen, Jeanne Smith, Verdell Smith and Joseph Zook. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 20, 2025 at the Paradise Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building,  located at 9060 S 200 W, Paradise. Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Paradise Cemetery.
