Peggy Sue Priestley, 78, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at her home in Franklin, Idaho.
Peg was born on March 16, 1945, in Franklin, Idaho, to loving parents Max Weldon Olsen and Elva Taylor. She was welcomed by an older sister, LouDean, and became a big sister to a younger brother, Val.
Peg was a farm girl and lived in Franklin her entire life. She loved riding horses and playing softball. Peg attended Franklin School and graduated from Preston High School.
Peg married her High School sweetheart, Wayne Priestley, on September 20, 1963, in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Franklin and became the parents of four children, Janelle, Michael, Steven, and Chad.
Peg loved being a homemaker and was known for her vegetable and flower gardens, cooking, and baking. She also loved the outdoors and camping. She also worked seasonally at Del Monte and for local farms pelting mink to earn Christmas money.
In their later years, Wayne and Peg enjoyed traveling to Jackson Hole to see the Bar J Wranglers and riding in their John Deere Gator.
Peg was a Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Franklin 3rd Ward member.
Peg is survived by her loving husband, Wayne, her daughter Jan, sons Michael and Chad, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, LouDean, and her brother, Val.
Preceding Peg in death is her son, Steven, and her parents, Max and Elva.
Graveside Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023, at the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho.
