Patsy JoAnn Fridal (Wilburn), born April 23, 1950, in Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 11, 2026. She was 76 years old.

Patsy Married Richard Naef in 1976. That's when she became the proud stepmother of Casey Naef; then, in 1978, she gave birth to Bandy Naef. Patsy and Richard later divorced. She married Ron Fridal in 1988 and became a proud stepmother again to Ada Lynn (deceased) and Tanya Sue. Patsy and Ron later separated.

Although Patsy had many struggles throughout her life, she found joy in many things, including spending time with family, camping, and going for drives to look for her favorite animal, the moose, especially in fall, her favorite time of year. She was also a collector of moose items. She enjoyed trips to Wendover and Fort Hall casino. She also loved music and was a drummer and singer in many bands over the years.

Patsy’s life was marked by warmth, resilience, and compassion. Those who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her as a constant and nurturing presence, someone whose gentle strength guided her family and friends through both joyous and challenging times.

Patsy was devoted to her family, cherishing the bonds she cultivated throughout her life. She is survived by her beloved son, Bandy Naef; her sisters, Jeanie McKinnis and Lynda Schultz; her sister-in-law, Jean Wilburn; and her brother, Matthew Wilburn, and his wife, Molly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved so deeply. The love Patsy shared with her family was unwavering, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

She was preceded in death by a cherished circle of family members: her brother-in-law Douglas McKinnis, her sister Bobbie Smith and brother-in-law Jerry Smith, her sister Laroma Puckett and brother-in-law Bob Puckett, her brother-in-law Jerry Schultz, her brother Ron Standridge and sister-in-law Roberta Standridge, and her brothers Tommy Wilburn, Burt Wilburn, and Russell Wilburn. Their memories remained close to Patsy’s heart throughout her life.

Though words cannot fully capture the impact Patsy had on those around her, her legacy is most profoundly felt in the kindness, wisdom, and steadfastness she showed every day. Her thoughtful nature leaves an enduring impression on her family and all who have had the privilege of calling her a friend.

Patsy JoAnn Fridal’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. As her family and friends grieve her passing, they also celebrate a life well-lived, full of love and meaning.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rudd Funeral Home, 111 N 100 E, Tremonton, UT. Followed by a short dedication of the grave at Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton, Utah, at 11:00 AM. Dress casual and comfortable.
