Obituary

Nelda Kay Zanine, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on February 12, 2026, at her home in Downey, Idaho, following an extended illness bravely fought. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born on September 6, 1943, in Logan, Utah, Kay was a vibrant presence with a heart full of kindness. She worked for many years as a factory worker at Del Monte‘s in Franklin, Idaho, and Pepperidge Farm in Richmond, Utah, also as a Receptionist in the automotive industry in Logan, Utah. She earned respect from coworkers for her strong work ethic.

Kay was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her spiritual commitment enriched her journey and provided strength and comfort during both joyful and challenging times.

Surviving Kay are her devoted husband of 18.5 years, Robert Zanine; her loving daughter, Carmen Seal, and Carmen’s sons (Kay’s grandsons) Court Seal and DougThompson. The children and grandchildren of deceased son Randal Eugene Brin: Randal Eugene, Shalie Kay, Ronnie Edward, and Shalie Kay’s children (Kay’s great grandchildren): Isabella, Lillianna, and Shawn. Also survived by Kay’s devoted son, Robert Brin and his wife of 25 years, the loving and compassionate Gina Pate Brin and their children (Kay’s grandchildren): Robert Brin, Raquell Wallis (Cay), Kaitlyn Brin, Kelsey Brin, Kyler Brin, and Kay’s great granddaughter Addison Wallis.

She was also survived by step children: Shane Robertson and his children (Kay’s grandchildren) James Bowen, Tayla Bowen, Jackson Nelson, Joseph Nelson, and Braxton Denton. Step daughter Sheree Gloria and her children: Kyle Robertson, and his children (Kay’s great grandchildren): Chase, Ryker, Greyson, Octavia, Haven, and Athena. Also survived by Sheree’s daughter (Kay’s granddaughter) Hailee Gloria.

All of Kay’s family loved her very much! She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother leaving behind a lineage of love and support. Her family will miss her beyond words, but they find solace in knowing that she is now at peace and in eternal joy.

Preceding Kay in death were her parents, Alonzo Leslie and Helen Margot Kjøbek Seamons, as well as her son Randal Brin and his daughter Sandra May. Their memories will be honored in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
