Michael J Van Orden

Michael J Van Orden, 62, of Lewiston, Utah, passed away due to cancer on June 29, 2023.

Mike was born on May 5, 1961, in Preston, Idaho, to Neal Van Orden and Ronda Van Orden Morrison. Mike attended Lewiston Elementary, North Cache, and Sky View.

Mike grew up working on the family farm, where he learned to be a hard worker. At the age of 24, Mike moved to Tennessee, where he farmed and worked construction. After 29 years, he returned home and eventually started working for Cub River Irrigation with his father.

He liked to stay busy keeping a beautiful yard and garden. He enjoyed going for rides with his friend Rick and Rick's dogs.

Mike is survived by his mother, Ronda Morrison. His brothers Brad and Wayne (Leslie) and sisters Nanette (Yancy) Larsen, and Ashley (Shane) Chastain. Eight nieces and nephews and his stepmom Marjean Van Orden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Neal.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 6, at 11:00 am at the Lewiston Cemetery. Friends may call at the Franklin County Funeral Home, 56 S State Street, on Wednesday from 6 –8 pm.
