Obituary

On Sunday, February 22 nd Mary Ann Rogers passed quietly through Heaven's Gate and into Blessed Glory with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mary Ann was listening with her son Brad VanBuskirk as her dearest friend Janet Almond held Mary Ann’s hand and her sons Jim Daniels and Brian VanBuskirk sang Love Rescue Me, How Great Thou Art, Hosanna and Raise a Hallelujah in her final moments.

Mary Ann was blessed by the extraordinarily loving care of Maple Springs Nursing Home Staff for the last few weeks of her life. Mary Ann's family says prayers of thankfulness and calls on Our Good Lord's Army of Angels to watch over the Maple Springs Residents and ALL Families of the Maple Springs staff.

Mary Ann was even more BLESSED for DECADES by the beautiful Preston, Idaho family and community because of their altruistic nature and care. Mary Ann’s son Brad and Brian can never say thank you enough to her closest family and friends...her dearest and closest friends Janet and her husband Brock Almond, Julie Rossier & Donna Rossier, Steve Gilmore and his late wife Debbie, Mitch Beckstead and Caitlin Schmidt were all an absolute Godsend and loving friends to her, as well as the Preston, Idaho Community.

The VanBuskirk’s are so grateful Janet Almond graciously shared Baxter with their mother MaryAnn.

Mary Ann was a very independent woman; she loved life, nature, going for drives, getting her hair done, and enjoyed almost everything she tasted. Mary Ann loved sports cars, riding motorcycles and talking about her memories of her farm growing up and traveling in the world.

When Mary Ann was younger, she enjoyed tennis and watching Wimbledon, snow skiing and driving the Misty Blue speedboat on family vacations in Fremont, MI. Mary Ann grew up in Dyer, IN in a wonderful family home her father Walter built and also enjoyed watching her sons grow up in the same family home, keeping the acres immaculate, growing fruit and vegetables in the large family garden for meals, as well as growing grapes and making wine that would ferment in large glass carboy bottles that created natural décor in the family living room.

Mary Ann was blessed by the Lord Our Father and lived around the world; born in Indiana, she broadened her horizons by exploring and living in Illinois, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington state, Alaska and finally in Idaho. Mary Ann also lived abroad internationally in England with her late husband George and even taught English for a year living in China.

Mary Ann is survived by her two twin sons Bradley Walter VanBuskirk and Brian Richard VanBuskirk and was welcomed into Heaven and will be buried next her son Scott Thomas VanBuskirk and her parents Walter and Mary Krause at Ridgelawn Cemetery.

There is a tentative memorial service planned for Mary Ann Rogers at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 4401 West Ridge Road, Gary, Lake, IN, USA, 46408, around the weekend prior to her son Scott Thomas VanBuskirk’s birthday on April 27th .

Bradley and Brian VanBuskirk say a prayer of Thanksgiving by the Blood of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior for all her friends that helped care for her in Preston, Idaho. God Bless.
