Lona Rae Gibbs Wolff, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in Preston, Idaho. Born on March 11, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lona was raised in Salt Lake and graduated from East High School, setting the foundation for a life rich with experiences and dedication to her family and community.
Lona's faith was an integral part of her life as she was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her commitment to her beliefs influenced those around her and brought a sense of comfort and support to her community.
In her journey through life, Lona faced challenges with grace. Following her divorce from Larry Christensen, she found happiness once more when she married Larry Wolff. They shared many joyful years together, until his passing. Lona's resilience and ability to find joy in life were evident in the love she lavished upon her family.
After her marriage to Larry Wolff, Lona embraced new opportunities in St. George, Utah, where she became a cherished member of the community. She worked as a Registration Clerk at the Ranch Inn, a position she thoroughly loved, where her warm personality and strong work ethic shone brightly.
Lona is survived by her daughter, Kacee Ruth Christensen, and her granddaughter, Elyssa Skye Valiant, who will cherish her memory and the legacy of love she has left behind.
Lona was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Gibbs and Ruth Waldron Gibbs, her devoted husband Larry Wolff, her son Kevin Larry Christensen, two sisters, Dorothy Oldand and Melinda Gibbs, and one brother, Terry Gibbs.
Her warm spirit, kindness, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As we remember Lona Rae Wolff, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, faith, and cherished memories.
