In Loving Memory of Lois Wheeler
Lois Bowden Wheeler, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at home in Grace, ID, after a courageous battle with cancer. While her journey was not always easy, Lois faced life with the same spirit she brought to everything she did—with humor, intelligence, compassion, integrity, strength, and plenty of spunk. A cherished part of her life was the memorable motorcycle trips with her best friend and husband, Randy. Lois excelled at being creative with art, crafts, sewing, and cooking. She had a way of bringing fun and laughter into everything, and her sassy spirit will be deeply missed. Above all else, Lois treasured her family. She is survived by the love of her life, Randy L. Wheeler; her children, Mandi (Brandon) Mauia and Travis Dunn; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephew Lance Bowden; and bonus kids Melissa (Swen) Olsen and Aimie (Michael) Carnell. Sisters: Vickie (Phillip) Schofield, Kay (Ken) Stephens, Pat (Pat Marino) Coryell, Windie Blake, Patty (Michael) Hoffman, Patti (Don) Rhodes.
Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Mae Dunn; her parents, LaVor and Maxine Bowden; her brother, LaVor Jr. (Toni) Bowden; and her sisters, Nora Valdez and Flora (Phil) Curran. Lois leaves behind much more than memories. She leaves stories that will be told for generations, laughter that will echo in the hearts of those who knew her, and loved ones who will carry her energy and her wonderfully mischievous spirit forward. And somehow, we know she would want us to keep a sense of humor about life and all its seasons. Rest peacefully, Lois. You are dearly loved, unforgettable, and will be so dearly missed!
