Lois Ann Carlton, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in her hometown of Montpelier, Idaho, at the age of 73.

Born on March 27, 1952, in Montpelier, Lois spent her early years surrounded by the beauty of the Idaho landscape. Though her roots were in Montpelier, her adventurous spirit led her across the western United States, where she built a life rich in experience and connection.

Lois proudly served her country in the United States Army, a chapter of her life that exemplified her strength, resilience, and commitment to others.

A true lover of nature, Lois found joy in the great outdoors—whether it was the serenity of the ocean, the peace of the woods, or simply a quiet moment surrounded by trees and sky. But more than anything, she cherished time with her family, especially her six grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Lois is survived by her son Jeremy Weeks, daughter Ashlee Watson, son Jesse Carlton, and her treasured grandchildren. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will hold a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages taking a moment in nature in her memory—watch a sunset, walk through the trees, or sit by the water—and thinking of her.
