Lise Rowe

March 25, 1938 — August 29, 2025

Franklin, ID

Lise A. Rowe, went home to her Heavenly Father Friday afternoon, August 29th, 2025 in her home in Franklin, ID in the presence of her loving husband after a valiant 9 year battle with cancer and diabetes.

Lise was born March 25, 1938 in Montreal, Canada to Fernand and Lucette Fortier the oldest of 5 siblings. Lise was a very talented professional photographer In Laval, Quebec, and when in Illinois she was a professional and very successful exotic bird breeder. Once in Utah she changed her focus and became a very successful dog breeder. She loved to surround herself with animals as they gave her what she called “unconditional love” and desired profit.

She had a work ethic that is truly exemplary, she would plough through all obstacles and be successful at whatever she endeavored in. Much to her frustration her illnesses over the years interfered with her ambitions and she could not work much, but she fought against the diseases and pushed through. She had two rounds of treatments for Hepatitis C. The 1st did not work, she begged for the 2nd round, a one in a million chance, the doctor told her. She was healed. She developed severe diabetes and ended up with a triple bypass of the heart. She was healed. Then a nine year battle with cancer began, she bounced back from stage 4, a true miracle that lasted 5 years. She had a strong enough will to hold the disease back, she was not done yet.

Lise embraced the Gospel in 1983 after her daughter Michele joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She found great joy in the Gospel message of eternal families. She loved teaching children in Primary. The calling she felt was the greatest blessing to her was to serve as a Temple worker with her husband Bruce. Temple Weddings were her favorite activity to serve on. She did a lot of genealogy and had a very good number of her ancestors’ work done. She also liked to share the Gospel and through her interactions with people purchasing her cute dogs and birds she would give them a book of Mormon and share her testimony. Her beautiful smile warmed many people’s day despite the constant pain and struggles she faced almost everyday.

She is survived by her brother Andre Fortier, her husband Bruce Rowe, her children Julie, Michele, Guy and Beatrice, and her grandkids.
