Justin Spackman

January 6, 1976 — May 18, 2025

Logan, UT

Justin "Spack" Spackman, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2025, in North Logan, Utah. He was born on January 6, 1976, in Logan, Utah, and grew to embody the very essence of kindness and generosity. The impact he had on those around him will be felt deeply, as he consistently shared his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter with everyone he encountered.

Justin graduated from Sky View High School in 1994, where he was known for the warmth and camaraderie he shared with everyone around him—a legacy that lived on long after he left. His career was as diverse as it was adventurous, beginning as a whitewater guide in the rugged rivers of Alaska. He later worked in the cement industry and operated heavy equipment with Whitaker Construction and dedicating time to support his family’s business, Nyla’s Chevron. Regardless of the role, Justin embraced every opportunity with passion and energy, living by the motto: “Work hard and play harder.”

His passions were as boundless as his heart. Justin had a deep love for his dogs, the rivers and mountains that surrounded him, often found kayaking down big rivers or skiing tall, steep mountains. He embraced the great outdoors wholeheartedly, finding joy in every hike and every white-water rafting adventure. His eclectic hobbies also included a notable collection of hats, flip flops and a loyalty to the New York Jets, adding layers to his vibrant persona.

More than his hobbies, it was his spirit and character that left an indelible mark. Justin was known for his contagious smile and his ability to brighten a room. He loved to tease but was just as easy to tease back, creating laughter wherever he went. He was always ready with a big hug and a hearty greeting, ensuring everyone felt welcome in his presence. He demonstrated a selflessness that was remarkable; he would not hesitate to offer his shirt off his back to anyone in need.

His proudest accomplishments included cultivating a loving relationship with his nephew Riker, whom he adored, and spreading joy through small acts of kindness. From digging big holes to helping others find smiles, Justin made it a point to lift spirits and spread positivity in his community.

Justin is survived by his beloved mother, Nyla Spackman, his father, Mooch Spackman, and his brothers Chad Spackman and Riley Spackman. He is also mourned by his brother-in-law, Brandon Bussell, and cherished nephew, Riker Spackman. Justin was married to Jaime Blank and later divorced.

Justin was preceded in death by his father, Michael Sparks, and grandparents, Harvey and Lawana Larsen, and Bob and Rosalie Hancey.
