John Daniel Ramirez Jr. passed away at his home on September 18, 2026, after an extended illness. He was 83. Born on April 11, 1943, in Sacramento, California, he was raised in California and carried a deep commitment to work, faith, and family throughout his life.

John began working at a young age on farms and ranches for family and others, establishing the strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. Over the years, he worked in farming, on the railroad, as a bus driver, and in janitorial work. He also worked as a welder and owned a muffler repair shop. For 10 years, he worked for Edison Power at a substation. His final work was with the City of Point Hueneme, California, where he did landscaping, maintenance, and other city-related work. He also attended college in California and earned an Associate’s Degree.

In October 2010, John married Donna Lee White. Together they made their home in Santa Paula, California, before moving in 2019 to Logan, Utah, where they continued to reside. In his later years, John enjoyed music and found happiness in landscaping, taking walks, and working on puzzles.

Faith was central to John's life. He had a very strong faith and was proud to serve as an Elder in the Jehovah's Witnesses church. He was very active in the ministry and taught Bible truths to his family, the congregation, and others. He will be remembered as a generous, giving man with a kind, quiet, and patient way of teaching that touched many lives.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Ramirez; his children, Michelle Garfield, Kimmy and Mark Garza, Jenny and Joe Sanchez, and Jason and Olivia Ramirez; his sister, Becky and Benny Marinez; his brothers, Paul and Cindy Ramirez, Freddie and Lynette Ramirez, and Gilbert Ramirez; his sister Mary and Larry McCarren; and his sister-in-law, Karen Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his father, John Ramirez Sr.; his mother, Charlotte Alderete; and his brother, Art Ramirez.

John’s life was marked by steady labor, devotion to his beliefs, and love for those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, his congregation, and all who were blessed to know him.
