Jedd L Gittins

Jedd L. Gittins passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at his home in Smithfield.

Born January 17, 1949, in Logan, Utah, to Wayne and Isabell Williams Gittins. He was the youngest of six children.

Jedd was honored to have served his country in Vietnam from May 1969 to January 1970. He married Kathleen Bardwell in 1968, and they had three children. They were later divorced, but remained friends throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, JoAnn Gittins Huff; and his brothers, Jerry Gittins and Jim Gittins.

He is survived by his children, Tracy Lund of Smithfield, UT; Denise (Kory) Owen of Preston, ID; David (Erika) Gittins of Logan, UT; and his cat Kenny; seven grandchildren, Nick, Tyler, Piper, Rylee, Ellie, Jaden, and Josh; and four great-grandchildren, Lennon, Graham, Hazel, and Kit. He is also survived by his sister, Janae (Dee) Greene of Chubbuck, ID; his brother, Jay Gittins of Smithfield, UT; his sister-in-law, Nola Gittins of Smithfield, UT; and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2-4 pm at the Red Rose Funeral Home, 56 S State Street, Preston, Idaho. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
