IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Jack Keith

Fuller

April 5, 1962 – March 24, 2026

Obituary

Jack Keith Fuller passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2026, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born on April 5, 1962, to Ella Rae and Terry Fuller, the third of their children.

Jack was no stranger to fighting for his life. At birth, he required blood transfusions due to RH factor complications. At just two years old, he was run over by a neighbor’s work truck as it backed out, with both dually wheels passing over him. Miraculously, he survived with only a broken arm. At age 16, he was involved in a motorcycle accident, thrown into an empty canal, and knocked unconscious. It took emergency crews time to locate him, but he recovered. His final and hardest battle was with cancer, which he faced with strength and resilience.

Growing up, Jack’s family moved frequently throughout the Salt Lake Valley before eventually settling in Taylorsville after his parents’ divorce. He attended Cottonwood High School. During his senior year, he joined the Army and served with the 419th Transportation Company. There, he earned his CDL and drove fuel trucks, fueling tanks and jets. Sometimes, even while on the move at Fort Leonard Wood. Though his unit was on alert for deployment to Iran, he was never deployed. His training provided him with a lifelong career driving trucks and operating heavy machinery.

At 19, Jack met the love of his life, Jodi Packer. They were married on January 23, 1982, and had two little rambunctious boys, Brandon and Jason. Jack was deeply devoted to his family, working hard to provide while also caring for Jodi during her battle with multiple sclerosis, often juggling two jobs.

He worked for PCA for 30 years before retiring, then spent 10 years driving for Oakdell Egg until his health no longer allowed him to continue. Jack was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others without expecting anything in return.

Later in life, Jack found love again with Kimberly Buttars. They were married on July 29, 2016. He embraced his role as a father figure to her three mischievous children, Brenden, Colton, and Tori, soon after they met.

Jack had a deep love for the outdoors and spending time with family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, water and snow skiing, riding motorbikes, and four-wheeling. He especially loved taking his side-by-side out on trails whenever he could. One of his favorite pastimes was trail guiding in Moab with his mom and stepdad for Rally on the Rocks.

He cherished time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to golf, fish, ride, camp, work on vehicles, and help on the farm and in the garden. He and Kimberly also loved traveling together to relax and get away, often visiting Montpelier, Lava Hot Springs, Downey, and Bear Lake.

Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Jodi Fuller; his mother, Ella Rae Edwards; his father and mother-in-law, Linda and Mike Packer; his brother-in-law, Mike Packer; his father-in-law, Marvin Buttars; and all six of his grandparents, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Fuller, and his father and stepmother, Terry and Linda Fuller. His stepfather, Tom Edwards, and mother-in-law, Betty Schenk; He is also survived by his children: Brandon (Darla) Fuller, Jason (Kitty) Fuller, Brenden (Whitney) Buttars, Colton (Ofelia) Buttars, and Tori (Brock) Ostermiller. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, with one more on the way, and one great-granddaughter, with another on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Ken (Colleen) Fuller; his sister, Carrie Sorensen; brothers-in-law Brad (Barbie) Buttars and Chad (Heidi) Buttars; sisters-in-law Kelly (Scott) Colton, Sandi (Jeff) Ballif, Kristina (Marc) Simmons, Michele Bastow, and Cindy Henson; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
