Debora Ann Smith Kohles passed away November 28, 2025, after a recent stroke. She was born on Friday April 13, 1956, to Val Smith and Monta Rae Rallison Smith in Logan, Utah. Her Mom would call her on every Friday the 13th no matter what month it was to celebrate "Their Day".

She grew up an Airforce "Brat" as she would say and lived in many different States. But she always found herself back in her hometown of Preston, Idaho. She graduated from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii in 1974. She worked in the pineapple fields to earn money to make her way back to the mainland where she attended Snow College for a time.

On July 9, 1976, she married Brent W. Bowman. Together they had 3 children Annika, Kalani and Tyson. They later divorced but, remained friends. On August 13, 1995 she married Jack D. Kohles. She worked at Pepperidge Farm for 25 years until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She made so many lifelong friends there and they all became a second family to her 3 children.

While Deb fought an almost constant uphill battle with her health, she was always a ray of sunshine for everyone. Never without a hug and a smile for all she came in contact with. 

Deb is survived by her husband Jack, his two sons Brandon (Peggy) and Travis (Angela). Her children, Annika (Robert), Kalani (Chris), Tyson (Emma) and by all their children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Red Rose Funeral Home, 56 S State St.., Preston, Idaho. Interment will be at a later date in the Whitney Cemetery.
