Clara Gladys Greer

Clara Gladys Greer, of Soda Springs, Idaho, USA, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 94 years. We will all miss her dearly. Gladys was born in Nipiwan, Saskatchewan, Canada on January 26, 1931, the daughter of Thorsten (Tom) Burton Jacobsen and Viola Gertrude Little.

Gladys travelled many parts of the world. She had a passion for square dancing and clogging. She made many friends with special recognition for her life partner of the past 20 years, Jay Allred and his family.

Gladys is survived by her three sons, Doug, Greg (Ronnie) and Kevin (Evelyn), ten grandchildren, Bob, Julie, Vanessa (Ben), Joseph, Jason (Michelle), Danielle (Mike), Bryce, Christine (Ken), Ellen (Bill) and Mathew (Angelika); and sixteen great-grandchildren, Colby, Rowan, Oliver, Kayla, Taran, Eli, Becca, Arianna, Isabella, Merrick, Bruce, Caulder, Freya, Aiden, Quinn and Carter. Gladys is also survived by her sisters Lil and Marlene. 

She was predeceased by husbands Herbert Neustaedter (married from 1950 – 1993) and Delton Greer (married from 1997 – 2003). 

She was predeceased by her brother Tom in 2010, her great-grandson Charlie in 2012, her sister Marie in 2015, and her brother Reg in 2020. 

May she rest in peace.

There will be no service, as per Gladys’s request. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to support Dementia Research in Canada or USA.
