Our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend Alona Eskelson passed away on October 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She finally found peace after struggling with health issues in recent years.

Alona was born November 21, 1957, in Logan, Utah, to Nyile and Colleen Olsen. She had three siblings, Kevin, Corey, and Adrene. She lived a fun-filled life with Jerry, her beloved husband of 36 years. 

She learned the value of a good laugh from her dad, and the discipline to raise a strong, healthy Family from her mother. She grew up in Franklin, Idaho, with her best friend Lisa. There wasn’t a shenanigan too wild for those two to get into. 

Alona was married a couple of times in her twenties and had four sons: Brandon, Shawn, Shane, and Kade, before marrying Jerry in 1990 and completing the family with Jamie, Amber, and Jake. 

She loved camping at Red Rock up the Narrows. Alona loved dressing up at the annual Ladies Hat Parties, where she could be glamorous.

She was the best grandma for her 11 grandkids and 2 great-grandkids. She lived a great life and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. 

She joined her mother, father, and sister-in-law in heaven and will be joined by the rest of us when we are lucky enough to get there.
