In Loving Memory of Aaron Vin Farr (Vin) 1934-2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. At the age of 88, he peacefully left this world on August 22, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Logan, Utah, on December 01, 1934, Aaron led a life full of accomplishments and cherished moments. He had an exciting career path, working for USU Channel 12 station in Electrical Engineering and a television station in Pago, Pago, American Samoa. He later went to work for ABEX Jetway, where he was responsible for and oversaw the development of many patents. Aaron received the Governer's Medal of Honor in Science Technology. While with Jetway, he traveled the world setting up and troubleshooting airline issues. Aaron was a certified pilot and loved flying his personal plane. Aaron also enjoyed sailing and was an avid sailor even into his later years.
He leaves behind his wife, Valanne Hill Farr, sons Michael Farr (Wendy) and Jeffrey Farr (Jake), brother Hal Farr, and sister Diane Farr Carruth. Eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Freeman Farr and Lena Edith Farr, as well as his sisters, Evelyn (Terry) Farr Roane and Karen Farr Keller.
Aaron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Valanne, with whom he shared 67 years of unwavering companionship and love. Together, they built a strong and enduring bond that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Aaron was a loving and supportive father to his two children, Michael and Jeffrey. His guidance, wisdom, and kindness shaped their lives, instilling in them values that will continue to guide them in the years to come.
Throughout his life, Aaron was known for his wide variety of hobbies, interests, and passions. His commitment to his family and community enriched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and generosity.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Logan City Cemetery. On Friday, August 25, 2023, there will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Franklin County Funeral Home, 56 S State Street, Preston, ID.
We want to thank the kind people at Legacy and Sunshine Hospice for their unwavering care and compassion during Aaron's final days. Your kindness will be remembered.
Though Aaron's physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever live on in the memories and hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Aaron. Your love and light will continue to shine upon us.
